This demo shows Aware Reports in action on the Internet—it generates Excel and PDF reports on the fly!

Our cross-platform (Solaris, HP-UX, AIX, Linux, Free BSD, Mac OS X, and Windows) Excel template processor allows you to generate Excel 97-2002(XP) binary format directly and does not require either MS Excel, or MS Excel SDK for the run-time report production. Our text template processor allows you to generate various text documents including PDF, Postscript, TeX, HTML, FO-XSL, XML, Adobe Frame Maker MIF, SGML, TROFF, and so on.

For PDF report production we recommend using TeX (pdftex) -- an amazing typesetting engine originally developed by Donald Knuth. It is very robust, easy to install, FREE, and supported by a huge community of users and developers (check out http://www.tug.org/). To generate the demo reports: edit the input fields (your input will appear on the reports) and click either the "Excel Report" or "PDF Report" button below. To view the dynamically produced CSV data stream, press the "CVS Data" button. Use the following links to see the Excel and TeX report templates: “InvoiceTemplate.xls”, “InvoiceTemplate.tex”.

As incredible as it may seem, Aware Reports produces this report in less than 0.1 seconds! Please note that the overall transaction time depends on the performance of your Internet connection and your workstation.
